The chapter argues that religious belonging to the post-Conciliar era have a unique two-fold role to play in the development of religious life today. One part of this is to express gratitude to those who have gone before them for the pioneering work that they did in the areas of Justice & Peace and the Intergrity of Creation. The other part is to further develop these commitments of religious life by showing that they are two sides of one coin. As a result, the two groups of religious who are dedicated to them can both learn from each others' commitments and help each other to develop them further, for the good of humanity and of the whole of creation.
