Uwe Michael Lang, a native of Germany, is a priest of the Congregation of the Oratory of St Philip Neri in London. He was ordained to the priesthood in 2004 and worked in parish and school ministry until 2007. In the academic year 2006/2007 he was tutorial assistant at Heythrop College. He was a staff member of the Pontifical Commission for the Cultural Heritage of the Church (2007-2008) and of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments (2008-2012). In September 2008, was appointed by Pope Benedict XVI as Consultor to the Office for the Liturgical Celebrations of the Supreme Pontiff.
